Can I use bread machine yeast for normal bread baking?

christlives92 asked:

(beating by hand, rising and baking in over) My mom bought a whole jar of it because I bake bread every weekend but I don’t want to open it until I know that I can use it.

    good luck with your baking

Yes…be sure and proof the yeast by putting it in tepid water until it foams. You may need to adjust the rising time. But yeast is alive and it doubles prretty quickly.
